Another piano from the collection of Toms Mulcahy. This time, it's the now classic Roland sound, as used in their EP, JV and JD range of instruments. I sampled this ages ago from an EP-3 digital piano. This doesn't have converters as good as, say, a JV-1080, so the sound isn't as sharp as it is on Roland's more professional instruments. However, it still sounds good, and it is the most memory efficient quality piano multisample you'll find for the TX.

I've also included the string sound from the EP3, which is not bad. It also had vibes and an electric piano, but these were uninspiring, so I left them out.

I bypassed the filter on the EP, and the loop points match the original samples. Some of the lower pitched samples are at 16kHz, because they don't have a high frequency range. I've used this sound live, so it's quite finely tweaked, but you may want to adjust the filter and amplifier velocity values to suit your keyboard playing style.

Have fun!
